My first Soulwax entry got me in trouble... and clueless as to why. ALL of the songs are b-sides/remixes and very easily available on other blogs. Of course they don't bother contacting me directly or even sharing which of the songs they have issue with. A simple request to take down the offending song is all that was needed.
Update - just received another for my M83 post. Will wait to see if they take down the entire post or not…
Update 2 - they have taken down my M83 post and I've reduced the songs available on the Soulwax post till I figure out what is going on.... Am completely confused as all of these songs are readily available on other blogs....
Update 3 - Soulwax now taken down AGAIN with just 3 songs listed - 3 songs that you can get from a dozen other blogs... am lost for words so will save them for now...
Update 4 - well.. it' seems GOOGLE is the problem - see this
link. I'll be looking to move my blog soon now....
...And heaven forbid I continue to publicize a band with b-sides or remixes and get other people to buy their music or go to their gigs. As normal the music industry is shooting themselves in the foot and it boggles my mind....
Put simply I will stop promoting other artists if this continues so hopefully someone with common sense will read this and work with me to publicize their bands, rather than against me... Email received below:
